Looking to bring your own design to life? Get in touch with your project details and I’ll provide a personalized quote. Discounts are available if you supply your own 1.75 mm filament.

Currently, three Elegoo Centauri Carbon FDM printers with 246 × 246 × 246 mm build volumes are available and capable of printing engineering-grade materials. Timelapse videos are automatically recorded for each print cycle for quality control.

Please include links to any relevant STL, STEP, or other model files, along with your preferred filament type, shipping needs, desired print settings, and any post-processing requirements.

Currently available off-the-shelf filaments (star rating reflects filament cost): PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU, PA6-GF25, PA612-CF, PA6-CF15

PLA — Polylactic Acid ★☆☆☆☆

  • Description: A biodegradable plastic made from renewable resources like corn starch or sugarcane.
  • Notes: Easy to print, very affordable, low warping, great surface finish; not very heat-resistant or impact-tough.

PETG — Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol ★★☆☆☆

  • Description: A modified PET (like water bottles) with glycol for easier 3D printing.
  • Notes: Strong, slightly flexible, more temperature-resistant than PLA; good layer adhesion and chemical resistance.

ABS — Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene ★★☆☆☆

  • Description: Petroleum-based thermoplastic known for strength and impact resistance.
  • Notes: Tough and heat-resistant but prone to warping and fumes—requires a heated bed and enclosure.

TPU — Thermoplastic Polyurethane ★★★☆☆

  • Description: Rubber-like flexible filament that combines elasticity with strength.
  • Notes: Excellent for shock absorption, gaskets, and grips; can be tricky to print due to softness.

PA6-GF25 — Polyamide 6 (Nylon 6) with 25% Glass Fiber ★★★★☆

  • Description: Nylon 6 reinforced with 25% glass fibers.
  • Notes: Very stiff, durable, and heat-resistant; excellent dimensional stability; abrasive on nozzles and more expensive than standard filaments.

PA612-CF15 — Polyamide 612 (Nylon 612) with 15% Carbon Fiber ★★★★☆

  • Description: Nylon 612 composite containing 15% carbon fibers for strength and rigidity.
  • Notes: Lightweight, lower moisture absorption than PA6, excellent mechanical and thermal stability; expensive.

PA6-CF15 — Polyamide 6 (Nylon 6) with 15% Carbon Fiber ★★★★☆

  • Description: Nylon 6 reinforced with 15% carbon fiber.
  • Notes: Strong, rigid, and lightweight; improved stiffness and dimensional accuracy over pure nylon, but still hygroscopic.
